Belhus Cricket Club Won By 71 Runs

Match report Belhus won their final league match to make it eight out of eight wins and qualify for the play off stages. Visitors Westcliff were a young side but they played with spirit and batted well.

Belhus made 197-2 from their 20 overs with retirements for Lewis Blake (28), Henry Overy (26), Robert Healy (28) and Tyler Robertson (25) while Maddox Brown continued his good form with 21 and Sammy Fairweather made 12. Adley was the Westcliff wicket taker.

Westcliff made a doughty 127-7 in reply with Indra leading the way with a fine 26 before he retired, Chapman made 16 and Saunders 19 as they fought hard Lucas Barnett was the Belhus hero with the ball bowling with great flight and guile taking 3 for 9 with two catches and a stumping from keeper Lewis Blake to assist him. Brown, Robertson, Overy and Charlotte Waters all took a wicket a piece as Belhus eased to victory.
