Our openers Dean Henry (111* - his maiden century for the club) and Ryan Prendergast (66* - a career best) established a new club record 1st Wicket Partnership when posting 272 in this seventh Shepherd Neame Essex League match of the season. Their record surpassed the previous record of 251 set by Joe Joyce and Ryan Wells in the 1st XI match against Waltham CC in 2014.

In the process, they were aided by no less than 95 extras - a record total for 'Mr Extras' in an innings against the club. And in his first match for 3 years, our No. 3 batsman, Stuart Morris, sat patiently with his pads on for 40 overs.

In their reply, SOSEMT weren't quite able to mount a challenge to our impressive total and we won comfortably by 198 runs. Our paceman Rob Long continued his fine form this season in taking 4 for 7 from just 3 overs. Well played Belhus on this memorable, record-breaking day.
