Match report Belhus entertained Billericay at South Ockendon Rec on Saturday. The ground was in remarkably good conditon after all the midweek rain...well done Peter Bright and Tommy Thompson for cutting the outfield and rolling the pitch under difficult conditons.

Billericay won a very important toss and stuck Belhus in. The low and erratic bounce immediately had Belhus in trouble with the top 3 batsmen back in the hutch for not a lot. Read (19) and Sansom (27) managed to craft a good 4th wicket partnership and get Belhus up to 65 for 3, but although Keith Dhannie struck 23 nothing else really came from the latter order, apart from extras with 35.

Chasing 144, Billericay enjoyed lady luck and the benefit of some interesting umpiring decisions and knocked off the runs. Antonio bowled well to take 2 for 20.
On the day Billericay benefitted very much from the winning of the toss and were deserved winners.
