Billericay (120 Overs) v Belhus Cricket Club Saturday 1st XI on Sat 07 Sep 2019 at 11am
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 10 Wickets
Match report
Billericay 1st XI 210
Belhus 1st XI 213-0
Our 1st XI needed to win this last SNEL match of the season to remain in the Premier Division for the 2020 season, the club's 60th Anniversary.
Billericay batted first, but despite a patient 66 from opener Nathan Khelawon, and a run-a-ball knock from Rob Lee, also with 66, they could only post a modest innings total of 210. Spinner Matt Doran was our lead wicket-taker with 4 for 92.
In the run-chase after tea, our openers Joe Joyce (117*) and Matt Doran (88*) batted superbly to see us home to a 10-wickets win. Joe finished the season as the Premier Division's leading run-scorer and Matt finished second, both stroking 5 x fifties and one century apiece. And to crown his fine season, Matt was the Premier Division's third highest wicket-taker.
