Batting first at Valentines Park in this fifth SNEL match of the season, our 1st XI racked up a respectable total of 292 for 4 from their allotted 50 overs. Joe Joyce led the way with 93 not out and was ably supported by Ryan Wells (53), skipper Danny Joyce (47) and Max Osborne (41).

In their run-chase after tea, Ilford never really got into their stride as only Talha Mumtaz made any impression with 41. Martin Guilbert was our lead wicket-taker with 3 for 36 from his 10 overs, while Joe Joyce and Dan Norris chipped in with two wickets apiece.

And Belhus moved into 4th place in the SNEL Premier Division.
