Batting first in this Readers South Thames Cricket league match, Dulwich had their backs against the wall when perched precariously on 61 for 8, but they bravely edged their way to 109 for 9 from their allotted 45 overs. Connor Day bowled well to take 3 for 12 from his 8 overs.

After the break, we must have felt pretty confident of chasing down the eminently 'gettable' target, but our batsmen clearly ate too many cakes for tea as they collapsed woefully to 40 all out. All credit to the Dulwich bowlers Craig and Garthwaite who captured all 10 wickets between.

We lost by 61 runs. Oh dear Belhus.
