Match report Belhus travelled to Wickford for this cup match. Stand in skipper Rob Healy won the toss for Belhus and chose to bat. Lewis Blake was the Belhus mainstay with a well made 28 with 2 fours from 31 balls before retiring. Charlie Ovey made 13 and Kaelan Casey 12 not out in his first match of the season. Belhus posted a moderate 93-5 from 20 overs with Corps, Coleman and Souter the wicket taking bowlers for the hosts. There were also two fine direct hit run outs for Wickford who did very well to keep Belhus in check.

Belhus knew they would have to bowl and field well to secure a win and fortunately they delivered albeit with a few alarms as they gave away 35 extras. There were wickets for Owen Williams, Charlie Ovey and Tyler Robertson while Henry Overy continued his good bowling form with another two victims. Aidan Fourie and Oliver Plunkett epitomised the excellent Belhus fielding with two fine run outs and Rob Healy and Lewis Blake pouched catches. Callum Constantine bowled very well to conceded just 8 runs from 3 overs and Belhus won by a fair margin of 18 runs. Crocker was the best bat for Wickford making 17. Belhus await the winners of the Orsett Knights / Benfleet clash to see who they will face in the West Region final. The winners will then face the East Region winners on the finals day later in the summer.
