Match report In this first round tie in the National Village Cup, Billy Winter (49), Matt Doran (44) and skipper Danny Joyce (34*) helped Belhus to a competitive 197 for 7 off of their allotted 40 overs. J. Marson, C. Hammond and D. Stone were the pick of the Horndon bowlers with 2 wickets apiece.

In the run-chase after tea, Horndon were always up with the run-rate as Asif stroked a fine century, but Belhus fought back gamely with spinner Matt Doran capturing 3 wickets and an exciting finish saw us home to victory by just 4 runs.
