In this eighth league match of the season, Belhus posted an impressive total of 261 for 3 from their allotted 40 overs. And opener George Maidment was in magnificent form, carrying his bat through the innings for a superb 161 not out - a new club record individual score in a 4th XI match.

In their run-chase, Southend-on-Sea & EMT openers Enderby (41) and Clark (19) got their side off to a decent start but the team was unable to maintain any momentum and were dismissed for 125. Teddy Waters continues to impress and showed his skill with the ball by taking 3 wickets and Rob Long and John Wilson collected 2 wickets piece.

Another outstanding performance by our 4th XI under the captaincy of John Wilson: his team remains undefeated this season and sit atop of the SNEL Division One East.
