Benfleet 3rd XI v Belhus Cricket Club Saturday 4th XI on Sat 19 May 2018 at 12.30pm
Match was Drawn
Match report
Belhus 4th XI 204-5
Benfleet 3rd XI 158-6
Batting first in this second SNEL match of the season, our 4th XI posted a competitive total of 204 for 5 declared after 43 overs, thanks to excellent half-centuries by James Barber (62) and Andrew Williams (61).
In their run-chase after tea, Benfleet were never quite in the hunt and despite a superb spell from spinner Braydon Scarlett who returned 5 for 23, we couldn't winkle them out and skipper John Wilson had to settle for a draw.
