Batting first, Buckhurst Hill posted a respectable total of 261 thanks primarily to opener Hendro Puchert who carried his bat for a patient 145.

In the run-chase, we were comfortably poised on 127 for 1 thanks to a half-century (68) from Ryan Wells, but a major collapse saw us lose 8 wickets for 36 runs to take us to 163 for 9. Michael Fogg (27) and Connor Day (28*) produced a fighting 56-runs last wicket partnership, but we couldn't quite reach the required target and lost by 42 runs.

And the 1st XI are now placed in 4th position in SNEL Division One.
