Batting first, our 3rd XI posted a modest total of 215 for 9 with skipper Richard Waters stroking a classy 92 supported by Adam Dudmish (34) and Keith Dhannie (28). Atif Butt was the pick of Ilford's bowlers with 4 for 70.

In their run-chase, Ilford thanked Shiva Yadavalli (85) for playing a key role in helping his side earn an honourable draw, despite the best efforts of our lead wicket-taker, Sam George who bowled well to return 4 for 56 and snare two fine catches.

With just 1 league match of the season remaining, the 3rd XI sits in 3rd place in their SNEL Division, some 9 points behind second-placed Southend-on-Sea & EMT. Having been promoted only last year, skipper Richard Waters will be striving for consecutive promotions for his side.
