Match report On a glorious summer's day, Belhus unfortunately batted first on a damp, green pitch. Aslam took full advantage of the erratic, steep bounce and took out the top order. His 4 for 32 was a very good spell. Charlie Lewis threatened with 21 and Imran smashed 32 but 154 was a disappointing total, albeit on a capricious surface.

In reply, West Essex were 3 for 2 after Antonio again bowled full and straight to give Belhus a sniff of victory. However, as the pitch dried out West Essex took advantage of wayward bowling and sloppy fielding and won with ease.

On the day, the home team were worthy winners.
