Match report Belhus travelled to the Lodge School to play St Catherine’s. After losing the toss we were invited to bat, a rarity for us on our trips to these warmer climes. Alas the reversal in fortune paid no dividends as we slid to a seven wicket defeat.

New tour arrivals Joyce and Dreher opened the batting and all seemed well as we moved to 25 for no loss. But the loss of Dreher started the rot and we quickly fell to 37-3. Charlie Lewis and Wells added 31 for the 4th wicket moving us to 68-4 but this proved to be our high point. Wells top scored with 29 but we again failed to last our allotted overs being dismissed for just 106 in 28.3 overs. D.Cumberbatch with 3-7 was the chief tormentor with the ball.

In reply St Cat’s were in no mood to delay, galloping to their target in just 12.1 overs. The one highlight for Belhus being the probing flight of Cliff Cansdale who captured 3-26 to add a smattering of respectability to a generally disappointing performance against more talented opponents.
