Belhus Cricket Club Won By 7 Wickets

Match report Belhus kept their chances of qualification to the next round of the U12 Brian Taylor Trophy alive with a strong win against Brentwood. Despite losing the toss and being asked to field soon made headway. Tyler Robertson struck first helped by a good catch by Sammy Fairweather. Callum Constantine then really opened things up taking three wickets for 8 runs in his 2 over spell - helped by a Lewis Blake catch and a smart stumping by Rob Healy. Alex Winder also took a wicket as did skipper Blake. Henry Overy added to more to his seasons tally including an excellent high catch by Freddie Phillips. Phillips wrapped things up taking the last wicket with Alex Winder taking that catch dismissing 10 man Brentwood for 84.

Belhus made short work of the choice with Henry Overy leading the way with 23 not out. Alex Winder made 15 as Belhus eased home by 7 wickets. They have one group game remaining against Old Southendians next Sunday. They must win and hope things go their way with others games and possibly Net Run Rate to see if they will make it to the quarter finals.
