Match report Belhus were definitely second best in this friendly on a cold, wet evening at North Stifford. Batting first Belhus were tied down by a frugal Upminster attack which bowled just six wides in 20 overs and where no bowler conceded more than 9 runs from their allotted 2 overs. The line and accuracy was very good and Belhus struggled to find any fluency, rarely breaking above 3 an over in run rate terms. Kaelan Casey worked hard for 20 runs with three 4's before retiring and Alex Blake made 14 with one 4 but the total of 75 always looked light weight.

Billy Baker took a wicket in the first over to get Belhus off to a great start and his spell of 1 for 5 was very good but the batting of Daniels (15) and Helen (19 n/o) proved too skilled for Belhus. We did not help ourselves gifting 12 runs away in wides and no balls in just 12.4 overs as Upminster eased to a comfortable victory.
