Match report Belhus got their U13 season off to a winning start with a fine win in murky, cold conditions at North Stifford.

Skipper Ted Waters won the toss and elected to bowl. The entire side bowled well with wickets for Thomas Anderson, Ethan Barnett and Tyler Robertson. Skipper Waters picked up two victims himself and Aidan Fourie made a fine direct hit run out. Lewis Blake capped a fine display behind the stumps with a catch. Callum Greene top scored for the Knights with a quick fire 26 before he retired, hitting 5 fours.

In reply Belhus started well with Oliver Plunkett making 12. The game winning alliance was our two left handers Alex Blake (25 retired) and Thomas Anderson with 22 who added a fine partnership of 49 for the third wicket. Ethan Barnett (5 not out) hit the winning boundary as Belhus eased home in the gloom by 7 wickets. The Knights attack did get some reward with A.Seaton, Greene and Z.Khan all taking one wicket each.

It was a good all round effort from Belhus showing great enthusiasm and skill on what was a very cold and uninspiring evening. Credit to both teams for some good cricket in the circumstances.
