Belhus Cricket Club Development XI v Goresbrook on Sun 16 Apr 2017 at 2pm
Belhus Cricket Club Lost by 7 Wickets
Match report
A great game of cricket played in a great spirit. Belhus batted first and Zak Wilson got Belhus off to a fast start with 58 off 31 balls. Wayne Read kept up the run rate up with a useful 71* and Henry Benson made a very good 30 which included some excellent back foot shots. Jack Plane finished the innings off with a hard-hitting 48.
The young Belhus attack then bowled well on a good deck and fast outfield. Burke scored a well-paced 100 and was well supported by an excellent 85 by young Danny Gillham. Henry Benson took all three wickets to fall and was very well supported by brother George who conceded just four runs an over.
