Match report Belhus narrowly lost a thrilling Peter Coe match between two very evenly matched sides in a game that could have gone either way as the result was decided in the last over.
Belhus were inserted and started well as Lewis Blake (11)and Teddy Waters (30) got the boys off to a positive start. Alex Blake kept things ticking with 40 and Kaelan Casey added 10 but Malik (1-6) and Walcott (2-15) pegged Belhus back and whilst 119 - 6 was competitive from their 25 overs the home side were wondering if they had enough on the board.

The Lions started well as Walcott added 25 to his bowling stint and Krishnamurthy made a useful 21 - these two adding 54 for the first wicket. But Casey nipped out Walcott and the game swung Belhus's way as Lewis Blake held a spectacular one handed catch off Teddy Waters quickly followed by Tyler Robertson cleaning up the dangerous Malik for just 6. Oliver Plunkett then made a fine run out and Teddy Waters combined with Lewis Blake to add another run out victim - suddenly Belhus seemed in control as the visitors slipped to 72-5. But Dobinson with 21 combined with Vininter (18*) to swing the game back the Lions way. Lewis Blake then took two quick wickets (2-21) and the game lurched back again towards the home side as Casey and Waters added a third run out in what was an excellent fielding display by the young Belhus team. But credit to the Lions and Clark (10*) who combined with Vininter to help the visitors to squeak home by two wickets in the last over. A great game played in good spirit by two well matched sides on a glorious sunny morning at the idyllic village green at NS.
