Match report Belhus certainly felt the heat on a sweltering morning at North Stifford. Our visitors chose to bat first after winning the toss and racked up a vast total on a good wicket and lightning outfield. T.Balage the W&S skipper led the way with 78 and Z.Saeed was in fine form too as he made a stylish 53. G.Evans also weighed in with a swift 35. Belhus captain Teddy Waters was the most successful bowler taking 3-27. There were wickets also for Billy Kilduff, Alex and Lewis Blake and Alex Winder who took a caught and bowled. Alex Blake held a fine catch while Henry Overy and Lewis Blake also held chances. Rob Healy picked up a run out but the W&S total was an intimidating one as our boys struggled in the tough conditions.

In reply, the W&S attack were quite miserly and Belhus opted for crease occupation rather than slumping to a swift and miserable defeat. Lewis Blake (26), Teddy Waters (29) Alex Blake (16 n/o) and Alex Winder (10 n/o) all batted well as Belhus made sure that their visitors had to take their full 25 over share of the toil in the sun. A heavy defeat for our lads but they worked hard in very difficult conditions and will learn a lot from the experience.
