Belhus Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI v Fives and Heronians 3rd on Sat 19 Aug 2017 at 12.30pm
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 94 Runs
Match report
Belhus 3rd XI 187-9
Fives and Heronians 93
Batting first at South Ockendon Recreation Ground, our 3rd XI were soon in trouble at 27 for 4. But Josh Clarke played a supremely mature innings in scoring his second century of the season, enabling skipper Richard Waters to declare on 187 for 9. For Fives and Heronians, Abbas Mirza bowled magnificently in capturing 6 for 37.
After tea, Alan Maidment and Rob Long bowled superbly to take 3 and 4 wickets respectively to dismiss F and H for 93 to win quite comfortably by 94 runs.
This was a fine performance by our 3rd XI after their blip last weekend. And with just 3 matches of the SNEL 2017 season remaining, they remain at the top of their Division.
