Batting first on a pitch suffering from the midweek rain, Belhus in the form of Mark Sansom (91) and G.Maidment (36) did well to overcome the two-paced, low bounce and post 88 for the 1st wicket. Rain intervened for an hour to reduce the match to a 45/43 over game, but after an early tea, Belhus pushed their total up to 216 in their overs through Jake Wolfe(29)and 20 from Wayne Read.

Walthamstow chasing the revised target of 213 in 43 overs were stymied in their reply by good upfront bowling from Jack Martin-Hussey (1 for 29) and Matt Williams (1 for 27) in his best bowling performance of the season. At 63 for 2 after 22 overs, Walthamstow were struggling to mount a charge but after drinks a stand of 79 by Shaikh and Minnot of 46 and 38 put them back in contention. Good bowling by Deepak (3 for 25) and G.Maidment (1 for 44) put Walthamstow back behind the rate somewhat but a late bombardment by Ali of 48 off 26 balls set up a final over of 13 required.

However, Braydon Scarlett was recalled for the last over and he came to the rescue with 2 wickets in 5 balls to give Belhus victory by 9 runs in a fraught finish.
