Match report Batting first on a very dry Chalkwell Park wicket, Belhus initially got off to a quick start, 42 in 7 overs with wides aplenty but the introduction of the Leigh spinners abruptly halted any momentum. Elliott and Camp bowled 18 overs for 39.

Belhus totalled eventually 215 in their 45 overs after a dogged 53 from Darrell and a return to form for Wolfe (50) and 33 from Read. The total was at least 50 short of a par score on a barren outfield and a 30 yard boundary on one side.

After an early wicket Leigh reached the Belhus total with some ease. The bowling lacked bite and penetration and Leigh won by 7 wickets with only Deepak bowling with any control. A poor performance from Belhus.
