Match report Lady luck was rather elsewhere for Belhus on saturday.

Hainault & Chigwell won an important toss and inserted Belhus on a pitch reflecting the previous 3 days of rain. In the event, an excellent opening partnership of 77 by Read (70) and 32 from young George Maidment put Belhus in a healthy position after 23 overs, but then the rain returned and stymied Belhus's progress.

After the rain delay and the reduction of overs, Belhus struggled to find the quick runs required. Good quick knocks from Lewis J. (26) and a good final partnership of 33 by Sansom (12) and Imran (19) took the score to 180 which was really 30 too few.

After tea, Hainault were struggling at 9 for 2 but missed opportunities and a partnership of 84 between Ahmad and Ahakhaja took H and C to the winning post.
Imran once again bowled well (2 for 46) and Chris Porter was very unfortunate to finish wicketless.

A disappointing result.
