Match report Belhus v Old Friendship Xl.

Old Friendship chose to bat in the hope of posting a score for the young Belhus Xl to chase, but early inroads from the young Belhus attack soon put pay to that, with excellent figures all round for the Belhus team and at one point Joe Tomlinson was on a hat trick.

In order to make a game of it, the Belhus side agreed to bowl all of their 35 overs and so Old Friends finally posted a reasonable total of 160 for Belhus to chase. However, 160 was never enough, even with the early loss of Liam Waters to John Wilson for 7, that brought to the crease the experience of Jack Martin-Hussey who hit a fine 50 (retired not out), in came Joshua Clarke who scored a lovely 35 not out to see us home, with the star of the show, Joe Tomlinson, who hit his maiden 50, scoring a cracking 56 not out to round off a very good day for him to go along with his 3 wickets earlier, as the young Belhus side romped home in 16 overs.
