After the disappointment of the previous day, this was a stronger batting performance from Belhus in this Essex Sunday League premier division fixture at North Stifford. Joe Joyce struck a fine century – 105 not out batting at number seven – and in so doing, became the highest ever scorer for Belhus in that position. He overhauled the previous record of 89 held by Stewart Farr for the third eleven against Westcliff on Sea four years' previously. Despite Joe Joyce contributing to a 132-run partnership for the seventh wicket with brother Danny, it counted for little as play was abandoned at tea. Both teams received six points.
