In the 2nd round of the National Village Cup at North Stifford, we felt very pleased with ourselves after posting a total of 323 from our allotted 40 overs as Joe Joyce stroked 133.

But after tea, Horndon-on-the-Hill batted superbly in chasing down the runs for the loss of just 2 wickets in only 36 overs with Walsh and Stone both making centuries. Well played HoH.

(The match aggregate of 649 runs was the highest since the Village Cup began in 1972!).
