Match report In their opening match of the 2017 season, our Saturday 2nd XI chalked up a fine win against Horndon-on-the Hill.

Billy Winter (65) and acting skipper for the day Jack Plane (53*) both struck half-centuries as we posted a respectable 234 for 4 from the allotted 40 overs.

After tea, spinner Michael Cansdale took 3 for 18 and Wayne Read collected 4 'keeper dismissals as the 9-man HOH team were dismissed for 132 after D.Laurie had stroked a fine 62.
