Match report As in the corresponding fixture last year, this was an excellent game of cricket that went to the last over.

Hutton batted first on a very dry pitch, reflecting the very dry spring of 2017. Initial, good new bowling by Darrell (2 for 21) had Hutton at 15 for 2 and then 64 for 4, but a 106-runs partnership by Parry (81) and Cotton (45) turned things around for Hutton and late hitting allowed a good total of 200 in the 40 overs.

In reply, Belhus tottered to 26 for 3 but a good partnership of 68 for the 4th wicket by Read (37) and Darrell (37) righted the ship. Further wickets were lost but 65 not out by the skipper Lewis and 17 by Imran took the game to the last over. Billy Maidment kept his head and a leg bye to third man allowed a hard fought win for Belhus.

The league season commences next week so 3 wins on the spin bodes well.
