Match report With the rain finally relenting, Belhus were victorious in this 20/20 format league cup match against a battling Basildon team. Belhus were put in and got off to a good start as Teddy Waters (14) and Oliver Plunkett (6) added 27 for the first wicket. But Ayres (1-5) bowled well in his four overs and Belhus were pegged back to 37-2 from 10 overs. But Kaelan Casey (25*) and Alex Winder (23*) took back control as they added and unbroken partnership of 54 for the 4th wicket as Belhus totalled 94-3.
In reply Basildon were in early trouble as Owen Williams (1-6) made early in roads and Casey supplied an excellent direct hit run out to reduce Basildon to 7-2. Serena Hand, Alex Winder, Ted Waters and Oliver Plunkett all took a wicket a piece as Belhus. restricted Basildon to 72-7 from their 20 over with C.Murdoch top scoring with 18 as Belhus won by 22 runs
