Belhus Cricket Club Won by 24 Runs

Match report Belhus U11 followed their friendly win on Sunday with a good start to their League campaign on a cold, cloudy Friday evening at North Stifford.

The visitors won the toss and elected to field. Teddy Waters top-scored with 10 while there was good support from Lewis Blake with 8, Reece Herbert and Oliver Plunkett both made 6, Alex Blake added 5 and Serena Hand 4 as Belhus totalled 287 for 5, netted down to 262 with Stanford contributing 42 wides. K.Akbar with 2 for 11 was the visitors most successful bowler.

Belhus took control in the field as the miserly Oliver Plunkett conceded just 2 runs in three overs taking a wicket into the bargain. Serena Hand bowled well take take 2 wickets for 10 and Alex Blake took 1 for 3. Belhus were again excellent in the field with run outs for Lewis Blake, Teddy Waters and Oliver Plunkett. Plunkett also took a catch as did Tyler Robertson both doing well to hold on in very cold conditions. Louis Hales top scored for Stanford with 8 but Belhus eased home to win by 24 runs.
