Match report In this first Shepherd Neame Essex League match of the season, our 4th XI batted first and posted a very respectable total of 177 thanks to a superb maiden half-century by Zak Wilson with support from skipper John Wilson (29) and Rob Long (25).

After tea, and despite a fine 63 from opener Don Shalom, an excellent all-round effort from our bowlers enabled us to dismiss Oakfield Parkonians for 149 (including 36 wides) to win by 28 runs.

This match was played in fine spirit and made for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
