Match report On a lovely, warm summer's day, Belhus were inserted. The good covering of grass on the pitch allowed bounce and movement for the Oakfield Parks attack and Belhus were soon tottering at 24 for 4 and looking at an uncomfortable afternoon.

However Huckstepp joined Lewis the skipper and after an initial conversation of "lets get it to 30!", the pair were soon into their stride, blunting the attack and eventually putting on 124 for the 5th wicket which swung the game in Belhus's favour. Martin-Hussey carried on the revival with 32 and Belhus totalled 242 all out which after the calamitous start was a heady total.

After the usual culinary delights of a Mrs Baker tea, Belhus made inroads into the Oakfield Parks batting line up with Martin-Hussey taking 2 good wickets. Then came the 2nd match-turning partnership of the game as Brad Mason and Braydon Scarlett joined forces. The spin twins, with their contrasting leg spin and off spin, tied up Oakfield Parks to such an extent that they took 4 wickets for 58 in 18 overs of flight and guile. A brilliant exhibition of spin bowling that had the members on the sidelines purring with delight in the warm evening sunshine. Oakfield Parks offered resistance but the two youngsters had won the game for Belhus.

From a perilous start Belhus had run out winners.
