Match report Belhus 2s got back to winning ways against Horndon at The Rec after the previous week's washout and the near miss against Gidea Park.

The playing conditions were very testing with a wet, green pitch and an outfield that the local cow and sheep community would have thoroughly enjoyed. The first boundary of the game came in the 46th over.

Horndon were inserted and struggled against the seam attack of Imran (2 for 17), Gary Sanderson (4 for 18) and George Maidment (3 for 5). Full length, swing and seam bowling resulted in 8 of the wickets being clean-bowled. Horndon were dismissed for 72.

After tea, an early wicket suggested a difficult chase but a 2nd wicket partnership of 50 between Huckstepp and Lewis resulted in Belhus winning by 7 wickets in the local derby. Well played Belhus.
