Match report Electing to bat in this 40 over encounter Rainham made good progress scoring at five an over despite an early loss. The remainder of the innings was centred around opener M.Patel who went on to compile an excellent 102 until he was run out by a Braydon Scarlett throw. Contributions from the lower order of T.Bunn (12), J.Hothi (11), Sid Patel (32 n.o.)and Puncher (16) enabled Rainham to close on 245 a.o. in 37.5 overs. Unfortunately 36 extras were conceded.

In reply - well, there wasn't one. Against at times moderate bowling every ball hit in the air went to a fielder. The only significant contributions came from Ewan Day who made 22 and skipper Richard Waters who was marooned on 9 not out. It was just 'one of those days' as Belhus were rolled out for just 70 in 20.1 overs on a very good batting track with fast outfield. It must be noted that three of the Belhus players notably George Maidment, Zak Wilson, and Eathan Morris were incredibly unlucky - the latter two hitting the ball well behind square on the leg side both picking out the solitary fielder and George Maidment hitting the ball to the massive leg side boundary which would have been a six on most grounds only for the solitary boundary fielder to run all of 30 yards to take a great catch as the ball held up slightly in the wind.
