Belhus were indebted to skipper Ian Wright with 51 as they lurched to 54-6. Wright steadied the ship, but after he was dismissed Belhus were still in trouble at 85-9. But last pair Danny Chandler (31*) and Alan Maidment (31) added 73 for the last wicket - at the time the highest last wicket partnership for the club. This enabled Belhus to set a challenging 158-runs target. Bould was the most successful Old D's bowler with 4-21.

In reply, Dartfordians lost wickets steadily to a miserly Belhus attack. The wickets were shared with Cliff Cansdale and Ian Wright leading the way with two apiece. Despite batting their alloted 40 overs, the home side fell 27 runs short and Belhus achieved a good win.
