Belhus Cricket Club Saturday 1st XI v Essex Taverners on Sat 29 Jun 1991 at 2.00pm
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 8 Wickets
Match report
Belhus beat Essex Taverners in the league by 8 wickets.
Taverners batted first and were restricted to 159 for 9 in their 45 overs largely due to the fine efforts of Cliff Caansdale, with a wonderful spell of 12 overs, 3 maidens 6 for 45. Only Wells with 67 put up any real resistance.
In reply, Belhus won convincingly by 8 wickets, but it took nearly 43 overs to do so. R.Day batted throughout with 44, but star of the show was M.Lewis with a fine 86 to see us home.
