Match report Batting first in this 40-overs match, Bentley had their backs against the wall at 54 for 6 but then Linahan and Hammond shared a 103-runs 6th wicket partnership to take their side to a very respectable 199. Paul Hall was our lead wicket-taker with 4 for 38.

In our run-chase after team, we got off to a poor start in losing both openers to be perched on 4 for 2. But then Mark Sansom (120*) batted magnificently, ably supported by Wayne Read (38) in a 134-runs 5th wicket partnership, to take us to 183 for 4 when a couple of wickets fell and we came up short by just 5 runs. A grand effort Belhus but well played Bentley.
