Belhus beat Southport & Birkdale at Trafalgar Road in this second tour fixture of 1996.

Batting first, Belhus made 204 for 8 in their 40 overs, largely due to Wayne Read's 91 before being run out (oh dear). Dave Aldridge (33) and Mark Winter (23) were the other main contributors to the total.

After tea, all of the Belhus bowlers bowled tight as the Southport & Birkdale innings lost its impetus, and they were all out for 179, giving Belhus the win by 25 runs. Aldridge was the pick of our bowlers with 3 for 44.
