Match report Belhus won this tight, low-scoring match by just two runs !

On a gloomy, damp afternoon run-scoring was hard work. Jim Robertson top-scored with 29 and Chris Baker gave the innings a late flourish with a useful 25 as Belhus made 129 from their 40 overs.

Belhus made early inroads through Cliff Cansdale and Alan Maidment who took a wicket apiece. But Weatherall (40) and Dew (43) seemed to be steering Lettsoms home in relative comfort as they reached 83-3.

But Robertson opened the game up with a quick three wicket burst (3-15) to reduce the visitors to 99-6. Dew still seemed to be steering Lettsoms home as they reached 127-7 - just three runs from victory.

Enter Jim Banner who nipped in with two wickets in three balls. Dew was then run out as the tension grew and Belhus stole victory by 2 runs in an excellent low scoring win.
