Match report Belhus U11b won their second successive match against Benfleet coming out on top by 35 runs. Captain for the day Tyler Robertson lost the toss and Belhus fielded first. Alex Winder got things off to a great start taking 2 wickets for 6 runs and Robertson joined in the opening salvo taking 2 for 12 including a fine caught and bowled. Debutants Ryan Sims and Serena Hand bowled well with Sims taking a wicket and Hand bowling very straight to concede only 7 runs and bowling just one wide. Lewis Blake also made a great impression in his first U11 match taking 2 for 7 whilst brother Alex also got in on the action with a good return catch as he took 1 for 6. Joseph top scored for Benfleet with 11 as they totalled 251-8.

In reply, Belhus got off to a fast start as Alex Winder raced to 23 including five fours. The Blake brothers also batted well, Alex making 8 including one four and Lewis 9 not out with two boundaries. Belhus showed good discipline losing only three wickets and it was this solidity which earned them a fine win by 34 runs.
