Match report In the final SNEL match of the season, our 4th XI batted first and posted a modest total of 144 from 52 overs as skipper John Wilson top-scored with 35. Liam Harris and Lee Dutton took 3 wickets apiece for Basildon & Pitsea.

After tea, Rob Long bowled superbly in taking 6 for 21 as he clean-bowled all of is victims, and finished as the leading wicket-taker in the Division. And with Mike Squires capturing 2 wickets from 2 overs we bowled out B & P for 84 to win by 60 runs. A fine performance.

So the 4th XI's season closed on a high note, finishing in 4th place in their Division with 222 points (110 points in 2014), just 3 points behind 3rd place Southend-on-Sea & EMT. Well done to all for what can be regarded as a successful and enjoyable season.
