Match report Batting first, we posted a very respectable total of 173 as skipper John Wilson top-scored with 31 supported by Rob Long (23) Jude Ranson (23) and Zak Wilson (23). Joe Thompson bowled superbly for Basildon & Pitsea in taking 6 for 15.

In their run-chase, Basildon had no answer to the pace of in-form Rob Long who bowled magnificently to scoop 6 for 17 as we dismissed the 9-man Basildon side for 52.

And at the half-way stage in the season, our 4th XI are now perched in second place in SNEL Division 2 (4th XIs).
