The Saturday 1st XI's first match of the 1985 season saw Terry Lambert Jnr stroke a half-century as we posted a slow-going, modest total of 137 for 9.

After tea, Richard Waters produced a career-best 7 for 11 from just 9 overs - and all of his victims were clean-bowled! Astonishing - and bowling at the stumps must be a lesson to be taught to our younger players.
