Belhus Cricket Club Midweek XI v Atherton on Fri 17 Aug 1984 at 2.30pm
Belhus Cricket Club Lost by 2 Wickets
Match report
Batting first against the touring side, we were in serious trouble at 82 for 9, but thanks to a fantastic last wicket partnership of 52 between John Lewis Snr and Robert Waters, we were able to post a reasonably respectable total of 134 for 9.
And in the run-chase after tea, we had Atherton in the corner at 106 for 8, but a stubborn 9th wicket partnership of 31 between Rampling and Dowie saw them home to a 2 wickets win. Good game.
