Belhus Cricket Club Sunday 3rd XI v Writtle on Sun 12 Aug 1984 at 2.30pm
Match was Drawn
Match report
Writtle 185-4 (Williams 77* Owen (66)
Belhus Sunday 3rd XI 164-9
Writtle batted first and posted a very respectable total of 185 for 4 declared after just 35 overs.
In our run-chase, Colin Gaylard (26) and Michael Phillips (38) edged us close to the required target, and our No. 11 Terry Lambert Snr chipped in with a late flurry (25 not out). But we came up just short and the match finished in a Draw. A good effort by our Sunday 3rd XI.
