Match report In our last match of the 1983 season on 1st October, we travelled to Sheen Park in Surrey - the first occasion we had played the club.

John Forrest bowled well to take 6 for 71 (5 batsmen were clean-bowled) to take his tally to 101 wickets for the season - the last bowler to take more than 100 wickets in a season for the club (as at 2015). Sheen Park posted a respectable 148 for 7.

After tea, only 'Junior' Ratnayake had any answer to the opposition bowling in stroking 43 as we were dismissed for 117 to lose by 31 runs.
