Match report Batting first, Hornchurch posted a respectable total of 216 thanks largely to Ede who stroked 93.

In reply, most of our batsmen got going but couldn't quite maintain the momentum and we fell short of our target by 30 runs.

In this match, the Hornchurch batsmen Nightingale, was dismissed 'Obstructing the Field' (after Robert Clarke lodged the appeal). This was the first such instance of this mode of dismissal in the club's history.
