Match report Starting at 6pm in the Thurrock & District Knock Out Cup Final (played at the Pegasus Club, Herd Lane, Corringham), we did well to restrict Orsett & Thurrock to 104 for 7 from the allotted 16 x 8-ball overs.

In our reply, and in fading light, David Webb and John Rowell batted well in scoring 25 and 24 respectively, but we had little answer to the speed of Steve Mason who took 4 for 4 and we fell 17 runs short of the target.

This was the club's second occasion in the District Knock Out Final having beaten Thames Board Mills in 1978.
