Match report In this Lillywhite Frowd League match at Belhus Park, opener Kerr was the mainstay of the Hornchurch Athletic innings with 62 as John Rowell took 4 for 40 to enable us to dismiss HA for a modest 124.

In our run-chase, we got off to a good start with Denis Reed stroking 31, but we lost wickets at regular intervals and found ourselves precariously perched on 100 for 9. Keith Day and Bert Freeman put on 22 in a gallant last-wicket partnership, but we fell just 2 runs short of our target. Nearly there Belhus - should have won this match.
